The Woman Behind the Mission
Born into poverty in rural Punjab, Sister Zeph witnessed discrimination, violence, and injustice at a very young age—simply for being a girl and belonging to a minority community. At a time when many would have surrendered to fear, she chose resistance through education.
Forced to leave school due to discrimination, she became a lifelong self-learner, later earning two Master’s degrees as a private candidate from the University of the Punjab. At just a young age, she started a free school in her courtyard—without classrooms, furniture, or resources—driven only by purpose.
Sister Zeph is a Global Teacher Prize Laureate, international speaker, and founder of ZWEE Foundation, transforming lives through education, courage, and compassion.
